Latest version, 6.3.5 download:

Due to issues with uploading files to curseforge, you can get the latest version here:

Firespitter adds a great number of plane and helicopter parts to KSP. These include engines, wings and cockpits with interactive IVAs, as well as other useful things like landing gear, seaplane floats, trim tools and other widgets. A number of other mods also use the firespitter.dll plugin. An explanation of the features of parts using these features can be found in the guide.

Please post any question in the forum thread

Check out Scott Manleys video on installing mods.
Make sure you put the Firespitter files in the GameData folder the way it is presented in the zip file. This mod relies on many assets that have to be in the right folder, like sounds and textures. If you get creative with the file and folder names, stuff will break!

If you need just the plugin (for use with other outdated mods), check the the github repo.

Confused? Check the Firespitter parts guide

i cant get the firespitter legacy .23.5 parts to work with .23.5...can you help?

  • #12 EpicCybertronian

Hey Snjo, am I allowed to make my own custom textures (changeable ones for the fuselage, engines and such), and if so how can I do that? I've been trying to make some spitfires but some parts can't have their textures changed.

  • #14 EpicCybertronian

    Ok, thank you!

  • #13 Snjo

Yes, you are allowed to do pretty much anything as long as give credit. The only restriction is redistributing models, which you may do only with permission (which you will get if you PM me on the forum)

All textures are png, but in some cases a texture may reside in another folder if it uses FStextureSwitch, but those will be listed in the cfg.

Please ask further questions in the forum, since I don't get notification reliably here.

Wow, You made me support the move of spaceport > Curse. I give the mod 82%, if you convert that into a fraction, you will know what I am doing o3o

Thanks! The hangar extender is already up, but Persistent Trails, which is a cooperative project, currently has some issues, so that's on hold unfortunately.
